The Grand Motel is located in the waterfall capital of Wisconsin.  There's so much to do so close to the motel you will have trouble deciding what to do next.  If you stay with us for your ATV or snowmobile trip leave the trailer parked.  The ATV trail is right across the street and the snowmobile trail runs right beside the property.  Trout less than a mile, Small Mouth Bass less than 10 miles and multiple lakes within a 15 minute drive.  Not to mention the thousands of acres of public hunting land.  If you are looking to stay in the center of it all, look no further.  Reasonable rates and clean rooms await.

Remote camping
The state forest has 10 designated remote campsites. Three sites are located on the Johnson Falls Flowage and canoeists/kayakers can launch from boat landing #14. Currently, there are no marked hiking trails to the sites. Hikers can follow volunteer trails or use the GPS coordinates to find the sites. Seven additional sites are located on the Peshtigo River between the Johnson Falls Dam and Spring Rapids. Various launches are available downstream from the dam. A free permit is required to be filed with the forest office before camping on a remote site.

Boat-in camping
[Eagle's Nest boat-in site on High Falls Flowage (photo courtesy Sara Pearson)] The state forest now offers four boat-in sites on High Falls Flowage [PDF] and three boat-in sites on Caldron Falls Flowage [PDF]. These sites require fees, can be reserved and provide a very unique camping experience.

Each site consists of a tent pad, picnic table, benches, canoe/kayak rack and fire ring, and a privy is available nearby. There is no potable water available. The sites are accessible by watercraft only. Campers must check in at our office within Governor Thompson State Park prior to setting up on the boat-in sites.
 

Goodman Park has a 15-site campground, with an additional large group campsite on the Peshtigo River. The campground has vault toilets, a dump station, and a potable water tower for campers. Water is also available at a hand pump. While you are here, don't forget to check out Strong Falls, the waterfall on-site; nearby trout streams, as well as nearby ATV/UTV and snowmobile trails!

This 10-site rustic campground is located right along the Peshtigo River and is ATV/UTV accessible with direct access to the trails. Water is available at a hand pump and there is a small amout of firewood for purchase on site. 
McClintock Park is located about 1/2 mile north of the campground, with majestic bridges over Peshtigo River rapids, trout fishing, many great picnic spots, and even day use cabins!

This 45-site campground, near Timm's Lake, provides electricity on every site and a new heated shower building with flush toilets, a swimming beach, and a boat landing on Timm's Lake. There is also a group campsite available for reservation and a rental lodge. Water is available at a tower & spigots throughout the campground.

Important note: Depending on any early freezing temps, anytime after Oct. 1st the water tower & dump station may have to be shut down for the season- please call the Parks Office before you come!

Twelve Foot Falls Campground is a 12-site rustic campground along the north branch of the Pike River. Five tent sites are located south of picnic area and 7 tent/small trailer sites at top of hill near the park entrance. Water is available at a hand pump. Twelve Foot Falls Park features two waterfalls (12 Foot and 8 Foot Falls) on the Pike River, a scenic picnic area and trout fishing.

Whitewater Rafting is not the only thing we have to offer at Kosir’s Whitewater Rafting. Our large, wooded campground is just steps away from our Peshtigo River Office in Silver Cliff, WI.

Our campground offers a range of campsites including sites with water and electric hook-ups for RVs, and larger group campsites for scout groups, family reunions, etc...  All sites are wooded, roomy, and include a fire pit. Our shower house offers hot showers and flush toilets. In addition, pit toilets are located throughout the campgrounds. Camping check in and check out is at any time unless otherwise stated when making your reservation. 

We have sand volleyball and horseshoes available for your use, all within a few short steps of the Peshtigo River. In addition, hiking, biking, swimming and fishing are all located within minutes of our location. For those of you with a GPS, bring it along, there are hundreds of caches in the area as well as the Michigan area near the Menominee River.

You will be assigned a site that accommodates your group size at check in. Site requests can be made but are not guaranteed!*

Firewood is available at the camp office along with other campground convenience items. Firewood CAN NOT be brought into the campground, unless it originates less than 25 miles from our campground. This is to prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer and other invasive forest pests and diseases in our campground and surrounding area. Ice and packaged goods are available right next door at the Rapids Resort.

The Peshtigo River Campground is a clean, quiet, family friendly campground located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin on 65 acres. There are 100 large camp sites spread out to give you an enjoyable camping experience. The 100 sites consist of seasonal, cabin, camper and tent sites.You'll enjoy our neat and clean facilities which include bathrooms, showers, laundry room and game room.

The campground is located on the scenic Peshtigo River. We offer tubing and canoe rentals for relaxing floats down the river. This includes a free shuttle service to the launch site.

Our 18-acre campground features individual water and electric sites, as well as individual and large, wooded group sites. Each site has its own picnic table and fire pit. We have many spacious, wooded campsites with several fire pits and picnic tables to accommodate larger groups. Large, modern shower and restroom facilities are within walking distance of all sites. All sites provide ample parking for all of your vehicles. Pets are welcome as long as you pick up after them and keep them in your campsite.

Our 3-Bedroom Mobile Homesare across the yard from the motel. These vacation rentals come fully furnished and include individual climate control for heat and air conditioning. In addition, there is wireless internet access, satellite TV and an alarm clock.These units sleep up to 6 people comfortably, with a full size bed in each bedroom. There is a full bathroom and all towels and bed linens are provided. The kitchen comes fully equipped with table and chairs, a full sized refrigerator, cook-top and microwave, coffee maker and toaster, and cooking and eating utensils. In addition, there is a mini-Weber grill and picnic table on the deck so you can enjoy the great outdoors.There is a common fire pit in the yard for all of our guests to enjoy. We even supply the firewood.

Popp's Resort is located on High Falls Flowage.  There are two sections of our resort with lodging available. 

The Office and Bait Shop are on County Road X right next to Boat Landing #4 at the end of a channel on the eastern shore of High Falls Flowage.  Motel Suites, Lakeview Cottages, Brown and Tan Lakeshore Cottage are located near the office and bait shop.

Popp's Marina, Docking Facility, Deluxe Lakesore Homes, Yellow Lakeshore Cottage and Gray Lakeshore Cottage are located on the main body of water which are just north of the office down Popp's Lane and through the Seasonal Mobile Home Park. 

Todd and Barb’s Rapids Resort offers seasonal lodging from mid-April through November right on the shore of the Peshtigo River. The authentic log cabins offer rustic accommodations with all of the modern conveniences including hot & cold running water, gas heaters and modern bathrooms with showers. The main room in each of these cabins is a kitchen/livingroom combination. There is a couch and arm chair as well as a picnic table. The kitchen area includes a full sized range with oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and full size refrigerator. The cabinets are stocked with all the cooking and eating utensils you will need during your stay. Each cabin has 2 bedrooms, one with a full size bed and the other with a full size bunk bed, enough to sleep 6 adults comfortably. We furnish blankets and pillows. You will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels.

Our rustic frontier-style cabins offer beautiful accommodations in the peaceful seclusion of Wisconsin's north woods. These units are air conditioned and can sleep 6 people comfortably.

Each cabin has a great-room area which includes the kitchen and dining area along with a full-size futon. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking and eating utensils you will need. There is a refrigerator/freezer, a cook top and a microwave as well as a drip coffee maker. Sleeping accommodations include a bedroom with a queen size bed, a loft with a full size bed, and the full size futon in the great-room. There is also a full bathroom with tub/shower. All linens and towels are provided. Patio doors open onto a deck and there is a fire pit in the yard.

Wildman Adventure Resort has a wide variety of lodging options from which to choose. Your cabin options range from rustic to delux, and even yurts! If a luxury vacation home is what you need, we have those as well.
