
Marinette County has over 200 miles of ATV/UTV trails for you to explore. The majority of this trail system is open year round except during inclimate trail condititons during the spring break-up (typically around April). Marinette County road routes open May 1st.
All UTVs are allowed to ride on ATV designated trails in Marinette County.

An Important Reminder:
ATV/UTV riders on the Iron Snowshoe ATV trails, in the Butler Rock area of Marinette County, which connect to Oconto County's summer-only ATV trail system at the county lines, need to be aware that Oconto County's ATV trails won't open until May 1st and close on October 31st each year.

The original nine holes is an executive, par 29. Its rolling terrain is perfect for the beginner golfer, yet it is still a challenge for the expert golfer.
The new nine was designed and built by Charlie DeSmidt. The championship, par 36, opened July 1, 2000. Its separated fairways will make you feel like you are on your own private golf course; with four tees on each hole, it will accommodate all levels of golfing abilities.
The snow white sand bunkers, crystal blue ponds that come into play on five holes, and over 20,000 flowers, make this course an absolute must see! After your day of golf, be sure to stop in the clubhouse. Friendly staff is waiting to serve you a refreshing drink and a great sandwich or Friday Night Fish Fry!

The 9-hole "Green Acres" course at the Green Acres Golf Club facility in Pembine, Wisconsin features 2,510 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 34. The course rating is 35.0 and it has a slope rating of 113 on Rye grass.

Hunter’s Glen Golf Club, located just off Highway 141, one mile east of Crivitz, offers the public a championship level course. This championship course was designed by Rick Jacobsen and boasts an exquisite design with contoured tree-lined fairways, vast natural areas, and undulating greens. Hunter’s Glen Golf Club promises to be one of the most challenging courses you’ll encounter during your visit to Northeast Wisconsin.

Little River Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course with challenging par 3’s and many trees that will make par a challenge to obtain! Little River Country Club also offers Friday Night Dining for a casual evening out or for a whole family outing.
Little River Country Club also has a great rated practice facility. The summer facility is situated on a grass tee with targets, and an expanded short game area to practice putting, chipping, & pitching play. The winter facility is a building that provides radiant heated hitting bays

Over 7 miles of hiking trails wind through majestic Marinette County forest land. Bring binoculars and allow extra time to observe birds and wildlife at the beaver pond. Parking and restrooms are available at trail heads in Goodman and McClintock Parks.

This state park consists of over 2800 acres on the Caldron Falls Flowage. There are 16 miles of mowed hiking trails to explore - find giant granite rock outcroppings, birds, wild flowers, and more!


This trail is perfect for families with short mile-long routes. The trail leads you through the forest beside the scenic Peshtigo River and past a grove of hemlocks. There is a trail guide available at the trail head so you can also learn about the many natural and historic features of this area.
Accessible from Right of Way Road in the Town of Lake, you'll find 4.1 miles of natural surface hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and Nordic skiing.

Take a hike around beautiful Timm's Lake and view the breathtaking scenery or watch the ducks and loons swim in Loon Bay. The trails wind around a portion of the lake and up onto the bluffs overlooking Morgan County Park and Timm's Lake. A moderate hike, but well worth the scenic beauty.

The Forest is comprised of various loops that provide a variety of distances. Offering breathtaking views of the river and quiet serenity except for the rush of the Peshtigo River.
Please note: hiking on groomed ski trails is prohibited.

Spend some time in this series of trails following the banks of the Menominee River. Located in the city of Niagara, meaning "thundering waters", these trails feature bluff views and the wooded beauty of all four seasons. Take time to hike, bike, cross country ski, or snowshoe in this pristine area.
Almost three miles of mowed, well-marked hiking or mountain bike trails including scenic views of western Marinette County. Hilly terrain, picnic areas, water hand pump, pit toilets available. Marinette County Parks pass required (available at entrance).
Take the short hike down the hill to the viewing platform for a stunning look at Veteran's Falls. Hike further to cross the bridge explore the woods.

20 miles of single and wide marked horse trails. Campsites have picnic tables, fire rings and a highlines for the horses. There is an outhouse and a newly drilled well with an electric pump and a hand pump, all water is potable.
Directions - From Highway 141 Take Hwy 141 to Middle Inlet. Take County Road X East to Lake Mary Rd. Go North on Lake Mary Rd. to Forest Rd. 901 Take FR 901 North for two miles and the camp is on the left. From Highway 180 Take Hwy 180 to County Road X West to Lake Mary Rd. Kick back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the Northwoods from the seat of a recreational kayak. The Wildman Adventure Resort kayak tour takes you to the serene High Falls flowage, where adventure and beauty come together. The High Falls flowage is surrounded by almost 10,000 acres of wild lands that are open to the public and are yours to explore. The vast wilderness creates a feeling of being in a remote Canadian lake, but you will never be far from home. The cool tannin stained water, granite outcroppings and islands, big fish, and forested shores are like being north of the border. The wild shores of the 1,600 acre High Falls Flowage are part of the Peshtigo River, the same river that passes by the Wildman Adventure Resort.
During your 2-3 hour adventure, be prepared for spectacular wildlife sightings including encounters with bald eagles, great blue heron, loon, a variety of ducks, sand hill cranes, turkey vultures, whitetail deer, black bear, coyotes, fox, wolves, and river otters just to name a few. Your trip will take you on a paddling voyage where you will be exploring the open water, the shorelines, and even wild islands. We try to end all of our trips on a high note, even our more laid back trips. Those that live life on the edge might choose the optional end of trip cliff jump!

Marinette County has over 750 miles of snowmobile trails for you to explore. The trails are scenic, wide, well-groomed, and clearly marked.

While you may never travel ALL of Wisconsin's 25,000 miles of scenic, interconnected snowmobile trails, you may be tempted to try! In Marinette County, we have hundreds of miles of trails of our own, all tied into the statewide system. Many of them will take you right to the doorstep of your resort or lodging accommodations.
Marinette County is blessed with an army of volunteers, organized in clubs, who maintain hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails all throughout Marinette County. There are 7 distinct trail systems these clubs work to provide...and thanks to them...we can ALL enjoy the ride!

Note: Many of our waterfalls are located within the Marinette County Parks system. A $5 day pass (per vehicle) is required for entrance into county parks. Day passes are available for purchase at most park entrances/parking lots or can be purchased online in advance here. This pass is good for all Marinette County parks for the remainder of the day. Annual passes can also be purchased for $25 at any Marinette County Library or online here. Discounted annual passes are available for veterans and seniors with in-person purchases.
