Where To Play

Bloch Oxbow lies on a level sandy upland a few feet above the floodplain of the Peshtigo River. The natural area is critical habitat for several sensitive bird species. A great blue heron rookery and a large colony of bank swallows can also be found here. 

Wildlife abounds in this extensively forested park. Deer, grouse and turkey are the most abundant. The natural balance of wooded upland and wetland provides diverse natural habitats and the ability to support many recreational activities. Visitors will find an atmosphere that is perfect for solitude, reflection and recreation.

This spot is a favorite for avid birders or those just wanting to take in some natural beauty. It offers needed habitat for waterfowl and shorebirds along the bay. It's also a great place to see birds rare to this region as they rest here during migration seasons.
