Trail Conditions
TRAIL REPORT: - TRAIL REPORT (Updated January 7th, 2026)

Snowmobile Trails: Partially open. The northern part of the trail system is open but in poor-good condition depending on snow coverage (Dunbar, Pembine, Athelstane and Silver Cliff area). The mid-portion of the county is mostly closed - A small section of trail near Wausaukee is open, but trails to the east are storm damaged and trails to the west are closed as of 6pm tonight to protect the trail base as we experience warmer weather and rain. Trails around the village of Crivitz/ town of lake are open but in early riding conditions and trails more south bound are still closed.

See full club reports below...

ATV/UTV Trails:  Open for riding, except on Iron Snow Shoe Trails (West of Crivitz).
*Unless therwise posted, city, town and village roads in Marinette County are open for year round ATV/UTV/snowmobile operation with no daily   open/close times - except for the City of Marinette, where they are prohibited.

Base: 4”to 6”    Status:  Open                 Groomed:  Daily          Condition:  Good
Narative from club reporter:  Trails are open and being groomed daily!! Trails are in good condition The snow on Monday should help to cover some of the thinner areas. We have a good base, hoping the warmer temps/rain we are getting doesn’t hurt them to much.

Dun-Good Riders:
Snowmobile and year round ATV/UTV trails are located in (Zone 1) in the Goodman-Dunbar of Northwest Marinette County areas. www.dungood.org or follow us on Facebook
Base:   3” to 6”       Status: Open    Groomed: When temps allow    Condition:  Poor to Good
Narative from club reporter: Dun-Good Riders trails are open with a 3”-6” base, trails are in poor to good condition. We can use more snow to help add to the base, corners are icy and the warm up this week is not helping the cause. We have been grooming while temps allow, when it is above 28 degrees the groomers do more damage than good because riders are on them before they can set up (6+hours to set at 28 degrees) resulting in losing base, so it may be bumpy in some areas until things cool down. Ride safe, ride right and slow down in the corners.

Iron Snow Shoe:
Snowmobile and year round ATV/UTV trails are located in (Zone 2) Northwest of Crivitz, in the Twin Bridge, Crooked Lake, Silver Cliff and Thunder Mountain areas of Marinette County. www.ironsnowshoe.com or follow us on Facebook

Narative from club reporter: We are asking that you stay off the trails during the warm up this week to maintain the base we have. ATV/UTV’s are NOT allowed on our trails when temps are warmer than 32 degrees. They are predicting more snow tonight & Friday night into Saturday.    Think Snow & Cold Temps!!!         Ride Safe & Have Fun!!

Narative from club reporter: Our West Trail (Corridor 3) is now OPEN and panned entirely to Wausaukee as of last night. Our East Trail (Corridor 1) is still a work in progress as club volunteers are working every day to brush and clear the trail of deadfalls. There is also some swamps that need to be considered as well. The Hazelnut Trail (club trail) is being worked on also. If all goes well these trails may be open by the weekend rendering out entire trail system as OPEN?! Trail conditions depend on the battle between more snow forecasted and the unseasonably warm temps we are experiencing. Let’s hope the snow wins!!!
